Play Overview
Wylde Flowers (2022) is a cozy life and farming strategy game with a witchy twist. It's a charming world of diverse characters, magical spells and player choices. You play Tara, who has moved in to help her grandma and the family farm. By day you work the farm and by night you learn your witchy craft.
As you work on the farm and explore the world you get to know the cast of fully voiced characters each with their own backstories. You decide how to respond to them. Will Tara find friendship or even romance. As you progress you relax into the rhythm of your farm, tending crops, caring for animals, fishing, crafting and so on through the day. Then at night you can nurture your inner witch and learn to fly a broomstick, brew potions, control the weather and seasons or even transform into a cat.
The result is a deep, rich story without the combat often central in other games. Instead, life simulation is front and centre all the way through. Believable characters with interwoven lives, living in a small town where magic and witches exist is a fascinating setting. But it's being able to craft your own cozy world in that place that keeps you going. That and the characters you meet with fascinating stories of their own.
