Play Overview
Zool Redimensioned (2021) is a platform game originally released on the Amiga in 1992. Zool Redimensioned brings the game back with enhancements and improvements but keeps the focus on recreating that original joy of zany speed, running and jumping in bright fantastical worlds.
Zool Redimensioned has been rebuilt from scratch with guidance from the developers of the 1992 original at Gremlin Graphics. The aim has been to retain the spirit that made Zool a cult classic while adding mechanics we’ve loved from the past 29 years of fantastic platforming games.
Play involves jumping, spinning and shooting your way through eight alien environments. As you progress you need to beat a slew of minions and their wide-ranging bosses to save the universe from the nefarious influence of Krool.
It's a game with challenging platforming at its heart. Here though, we have quality-of-life enhancements that ensure the game can be enjoyed by a wide range of players. Along with beating each level you can take on a speed run time, discover secrets hidden or go back in time and play the original classic game.
You can choose between the Redimensioned mode for a more accessible modern experience, or play the original Mega Drive version for a truly authentic retro adventure. There are also new secrets, challenges and extras across your adventure, with over 25 achievements to unlock.
