Play Overview

Bobby Bombastic is a running, jumping (hovering) and shooting game where you explore volcanic caves on a do-it-yourself rescue mission to find some stranded explorers. You enter the jungle with nothing but your homemade helicopter-backpack, a laser blaster and a couple of explosives.

Play involves exploring the levels to find keys, fuel and collectibles. The game was inspired by Activision classic H.E.R.O. as you might see from the hovering aspect. Accordingly there is plenty of cave exploration but also combat and enemies.

The result is an unusual blend of platforming and exploration in the vast and lonely temples, mines and jungle. It's a simple premise well executed and one with surprises at every turn.
