Play Overview
Hundreds of years after the tyrannical demon god Adyr was defeated, he rises once again to unleash a new reign of terror on the realm's citizens. As a mystical Dark Crusader, you set out on a quest that takes you across all the lands to defeat Adyr. To succeed, you need to explore and defeat each foul creature you encounter, both in the land of the living and the dead.
You choose your character's appearance and then select one of nine classes, each with unique skills and abilities. The key to survival is fine-tuning your stats by upgrading your skills and weapons to give you the edge in your chosen style of combat. Gameplay revolves around exploring the land to find and fight enemies in one-on-one combat where expert timing of your attacks, parries and blocks is essential. Crucial to this exploration is your lantern's ability to switch between the living and dead planes of existence as this unlocks new paths, areas and treasures (and less fortunately, more foes to fight).
The result is a challenging fantasy adventure not unlike Elden Ring and Demon's Souls. You not only have to contend with the enemies you can immediately see but also those lurking nearby in the other plane. It's a tough, deeply strategic, and involving game that demands skill, precision, and practice.
