Play OverviewPlay Overview

Deadeye Deepfake Simulacrum (2022) is a puzzle adventure where you are a cybernetic corporate agent working off a debt to get your life back. You play by breaking into corporations in different ways; go in guns blazing, manipulate time or use supernatural abilities. It stands out by how it lets you hack computers, people, even individual bullets to take control of the game moment-to-moment.

This is a game that represents the world through its maps and readout. It takes some time to get used to, but works really well to convey complex information really clearly. This lets you interact with the world in a really deep way. You work through hand-crafted missions and side content by hacking cameras, turrets and people to help you with your objective. But of course, you have limited powers that need to be spent wisely and each interaction can have unintended consequences.

As you progress, this over stylised interface creates an imaginative futuristic space in which to play. Backed with an original lo-fi hip hop music you can work to build relationships with with a wide cast of characters, and make world changing decisions as you piece together the mystery of your shadowy corporate benefactors. Along the way you can customise your character’s specialties and weaknesses through impactful perks.

Content Rating

This game has not yet been rated, but we anticipate it is likely to be rated PEGI 16.

The developers describe the content by stating it features “cartoon violence, adult themes”. The dialogue between the player and the mission giver is suggestive in nature and encourages them to die trying to accomplish the missions.

Skill Level

11+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. You need to be able to deal with multiple systems, deal with consequences and constuct layered plans. There is also a lack of exciting visuals that require considerable imagination. Also, you need to be able to cope with complex representation of the world through graphs and text.
