Play Overview
You join a platoon of soldiers in 50 vs 50 battles for territory between Germans, Americans and Soviets. Each team is made up of rifle squads of six soldiers, armoured squads of three soldiers, and recon squads of two soldiers.
Play is conducted in either Warfare or Offensive mode. The map is divided into sectors to be captured and then held. You either have to capture all the sectors to win, or maintain control of your sectors for a set amount of time.
It's a game about communication and coordination as much as shooting. Each group of players has a lead officer who coordinates the battlefield by talking to other officers. You can also communicate with the other players in your unit, or use proximity chat to talk to those around you. Finally, there is team-wide and unit level text chat.
Each of the two factions fighting will also be assigned a commander, and the commander is in charge of not only the team and squads, but tank deployments, air strikes, and orders, however these orders cost resources. Resource nodes can be built using supplies by engineers to bolster resource production, and be able to deploy more tanks, air strikes and orders in order to help the team fighting on the battlefield, however they can be taken down if found by the enemy team.
