Play involves guiding your group of ghosts to the door in each level. You move the scenery on a grid to clear a path, but must account for dark forces trying to prevent them from escaping and blocking the door.
It's like playing in an illustrated children's book. Only here you need to solve the unfolding drama that then tells a story about grief with kindness and sensitivity. You discover the ghosts of the world, still shocked by their recent passing, are trying their best to leave but ultimately are trapped, unless you can help them. Together, you to discover how to mourn and accept their own death so they can move on.
Although the game doesn't contain content that would warrant an older rating, it does address themes of death, loss and destruction.
12+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Although the puzzles may appeal to younger players, it's a game best enjoyed when you can appreciate the wider themes it is addressing.
