Play Overview
Isopod is an action-adventure where you play Winston the Woodlouse. Play involves exploring the out-sized world as a diminutive Pill-bug by rolling, zipping, and slamming your way to your destination. It stands out for bringing insect-style motion to the classic 3D platform game.
You work your way through different outside locations based in the Australian bush. Your mission is to find and re-unite your fellow bugs to fight back the greedy Fire Ant colony. Along the way, you need to find and consume leaf litter for energy and solve simple environmental puzzles.
Like Webbed before it, you have all manner of insect-themed ways to get around. To start with you can roll and bash through the landscape. But as you progress you team up with other insects to be able to fly and hook-shot your way around.
The result is a game about movement, collecting and exploration. But more than that, it's a tale about the power of cooperation even if you're faced with a task much larger than you can imagine.
