Konkan Coast Pirate Solutions is a puzzle game where you guide pirate ships to do pirate-ship-type things. You play by placing instructions and interactive items in the path of the ships so that when you press play, they sail to their destination and collect the treasure. It stands out for the hand-made visuals and carefully crafted scenarios that can be solved in various ways.

It's a turn-based game but once you set the ships going you cannot change the commands. It's a game about perfectly setting up the system to get the desired outcome. To do this you not only need to figure out the solutions but discover how the ships interact with each other and the various interactions.

As you progress you need to deal with ocean currents, icebergs and enemy ships. With over 100 puzzles to solve its a game that gets really hard towards the end. But with no time pressure, you can take as long as you want to figure out the best solution. The simplest levels are on the beaten path. while the optional levels delve deeper into the complexities of the simulations.

The result is a game that looks great. However, the real novelty is how the puzzles encourage you to discover emergent interactions in the simulation. Along the way, you follow the story of Swami, Mani and Rajan as they try and take over the pirate world.
