Play OverviewPlay Overview

Land of Screens (2022) is a narrative adventure about someone who has had a recent relationship breakup. We soon discover that despite best efforts to keep things private, her shared connected world immediately knows all about it. In her rush to get away and visit our old friend, she accidentally leaves her charger behind and is inadvertently off the grid for a while. What ensues is an unusual journey about getting away from everything.

Play involves exploring the inside and outside locations of her world, talking to existing friends and making new ones. The challenge is to navigate the familiar and the strange world of other people. You help her make friends with strangers or people she hasn't seen since high school.

The lighthearted and humble journey invites you to not take it too seriously, while gentle humour backs the various situations and interpersonal dynamics that arise from trying to form new friendships and meeting new people.

Whether you are meandering through a hotel lobby in the hope of introductions with colleagues, going to see bands you've never heard of or taking on family reunions, it's a game where friendship is the often out of reach goal. Running through this is the worry they with everyone attached to their screens it's all so much harder. Maybe you can get your friends excited about doing nature stuff so you can all spend the day together?
