Play OverviewPlay Overview

Lego Bricktales (2022) is a physics-based puzzle where you work to help your grandfather relaunch his rundown amusement park. You explore a series of jungle, desert, city, castle and island dioramas to help people by building things. Unlike other Lego games though, the things you build need to account for real physics and be fit for purpose.

Play involves taking on quests from the characters you meet that are solved by building things out of Lego. You have to construct these things from individual bricks yourself. Not only ensuring they are fit for purpose, but that they work with the game physics.

This not only challenges you to make things that actually stand up but also offers a variety of ways to solve each puzzle. Crossing a river, for example, could be solved by building a bridge, making something to fly you over or a boat to float across.

As you progress you gain the Lego pieces and skills you need to complete and customise the rides in your grandfather's amusement park. There's also a free building mode where you can play around constructing anything you want with fewer restraints on which bricks you have.

The result is a game that mirrors real Lego not only in physics but in imagination and creativity. It's an inviting world full of playful challenges that gets away from the reductive press-a-button-to-build-things approach of previous Lego games.
