Play Overview
Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island (2024) is a friend-making adventure game where you help the Greek gods remember their past and unravel a mysterious curse. As you explore the tropical island, you encounter rare treasures and interact with the different deities, helping to restore them to their glory. It combines a calming, nonviolent adventure with deep themes of friendship and community to create a unique and varied play experience.
You play Alex, a novice backpacker shipwrecked on the mysterious Ambrosia Island after. To your surprise, you soon discover the Greek gods are alive and well - but with no memory of their past glory and heroism. You work to return lost treasures to their rightful owners, exploring the varied landscape and completing environmental puzzles. As you interact with the gods and learn their stories, you revive the community and vanquish the curse that banished them to the island.
You explore the lush 3D world, using a magical device to find puzzles that reward key items that restore the gods' memories upon completion. Some of the puzzles can only be completed at certain times of day, as they rely on changes in the environment to solve. As you progress you meet Hermes, Aphrodite and Zeus, and help solve their troubles by completing missions.
The result is a game that combines peaceful exploration with puzzle-based conundrums. You can solve these at your own pace to slowly uncover a heartwarming story about the value of family and friends.
