Play OverviewPlay Overview

Solas 128 (2021) is a thinking puzzle game where you redirect rhythmic pulses of light to restart an ancient machine. You rotate and position mirrors to connect light sources and unlock further puzzles. The novelty, beyond the retro visuals and rhythm is that every puzzle is connected to the next to create an interconnected space. If you can learn the rules of the network you can uncover the surprises that dwell within.

Play involves deflecting the beams of light to solve puzzles. The pulses collide with each other to create new colours in time with the rhythm. You need to pay close attention to their timing to unlock the path to new puzzles.

As you progress you discover new components which interact in unique ways. (Some even passing from one puzzle to the next.) Prisms, glitches, new types of mirrors, and more lurk in the depths. For example, the filters which remove colours from pulses that pass over them.

There are over 150 interlocking puzzles with synth-inspired visuals and a story where music powers everything. It's a fascinating journey into a light powered world of rhythm with hidden areas to discover, and secrets to decipher.
