Play OverviewPlay Overview

Style Boutique / Savvy Style (2008) is a role-playing game where you play a fashion shop owner. You work on the style of your fashion collection as well as your own clothes, makeup and so on.

You play the game with the DS held sideways in book format. You use the style to select, design and interact with different elements of your store and the surrounding city. The game changes depending on the time of day you are playing.

As you progress you build rapport with your customers. You explore the city and find clothes, accessories, hairstyles and outfits for the store. Although it seems like a simple game aimed at girls, there is actually a surprising amount of substance as you work on your shop by managing items, making ads and dealing with customers.

Later versions of the game offer more online features that enables you to use your in-game smartphone to access an online market where you could sell custom-designed clothing. The in-game cell phone also offered features like texting characters to invite them to visit the boutique, salon, or beautician for a re-styling, among other features.

There are three versions of the game:
  • Style Boutique (2008) on DS
  • Style Savvy: Trendsetters / New Style Boutique (2012) on 3DS
  • Style Savvy: Fashion Forward / New Style Boutique 2 − Fashion Forward (2015) on 3DS
  • Style Savvy: Styling Star / New Style Boutique 3 - Styling Star (2017) on 3DS

There has been rumoured to be a Style Savvy 4 / New Style Boutique 4 in the works for Nintendo Switch, but no confirmed news from the developer.
