Play OverviewPlay Overview

Teach Your Monster: Number Skills (2021) is part of the Teach Your monster series, aimed at Pre-school and Reception age children. You play as a customisable monster character in a theme park. Each ride has a numbers game that starts with basic number recognition and progresses to simple addition and subtraction. It's bright and colourful, but stands out most for being made by educational experts this game is designed around the British National Curriculum.

After choosing a monster you are lead around the park by Queen Bee who introduces you to the rides. Each ride must be woken up by a loud noise (you have a choice of three) and then you can play it.

Games include counting dots on dice and jumping to the correct platform, feeding the correct amount of snails to some dinosaurs, and picking up the right amount of passengers in a train to solve a mathematics puzzle.

Progression to more rides only happens when you correctly complete a level, encouraging learning. You can only play the rides again once you have completed a section, otherwise you are directed which ride to play next, and the games get progressively more complex as you learn. Queen Bee will offer words of encouragement if you get it right or wrong.

Designed for children just starting to learn about numbers, this is a colourful and supportive environment with cute characters and fun mini games.
