Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a role-play game and an expanded version of the DS game Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn. In it, you play a young boy who travels between worlds and battles enemies in an attempt to save his mother. It stands out for its unusual, heartwarming story and the filmic quality provided by an orchestral score and Studio Ghibli animation.

NotesAccessibility Notes

There are two difficulties, Easy and Normal, which affect how difficult battles are. In certain challenges, you can request a hint to help you solve the puzzle. You can only save at certain points in the game, but there are also autosave.

Text is not always high in contrast and can be small. During gameplay, dialogue is not voiced but fully captioned with a speaker indicator. During the voiced cutscenes, there are optional subtitles but no speaker indicators.

There is a Guiding Star you can toggle in settings, which clearly marks the way to go to progress with the main story.

The game isn't always high in contrast, and when exploring certain areas your characters can appear very small and subsequently hard to see on the screen.
