Conan Exiles is an online survival game, set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian. Similar to games like Ark or Green Hell, you start with nothing and must use resources you find in the open-world sandbox. On your own or with friends, you build a base and craft useful items as you work your way from peasant to a mighty barbarian and then fight to dominate your enemies in epic siege wars.

What strikes you first is the living breathing world that you must pay attention to if you are to survive. Dress well or light a campfire to stay warm and make sure to cool yourself down in the heat. Hunt, cook, eat, and drink to stay alive. Build a shelter to weather scouring sandstorms. Be careful when exploring darkened ruins or you might become corrupted by foul magic.

You can build complex dwellings that grow to become small cities. This can offer you a base of operations from which you can wage war using swords, bows, siege weapons, or even take control of giant avatars of the gods to crush the homes of your enemies.

There is a lot to see as you travel through the seamless world: rolling sand dunes of the southern desert, mysterious eastern swamp and snow-capped mountains of the frozen north. All of it is fully explorable. Climb anywhere and experience full freedom of exploration.

As you progress more options for advancement are offered to you. Align yourself with one of four deities. Bring your sacrifices to the altar of your god then summon and take control of their huge, towering avatar. Depending on where you built your home, different types of monsters will attack and try to destroy it.

The world is populated with different civilisations. From the Black Keep in the north to the Dregs along the southern river, discover the ruins of ancient civilizations and solve their mysteries to gain access to their treasure. Uncover the history of the Exiled Lands you as you explore, uncover lore, and meet computer controlled characters.

For maximum flexibility over how hard the game is, play on your own world and you can customise the game parameters. Change your progression speed, spawn monsters, turn yourself invisible, deactivate avatars.
