for Geopolitics

Video games are known for finding some small (often peculiar) part of life and turning it into a game. The moment of firing a gun, jumping over a ditch or even cooking the perfect meal have all been the subject of successful games. However, there are some games that go in the opposite direction and turn their attention on the largest aspects of life.

This is a list of games that are built around the concept of Geopolitics and how this frames many of the decisions that nations and societies make. As Wikipedia puts it: "Geopolitics focuses on political power linked to geographic space, in particular, territorial waters and land territory in correlation with diplomatic history."

We include games that give you a taste of sitting at the tables of power in the Geopolitics of the world. But also games, like This War of Mine, where you are on the receiving end of these far-reaching systems of power and influence.
