Play OverviewPlay Overview

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (2021) is a survival-horror game where you explore a vast pizzeria and shopping centre while hunted by a murderer. In addition to continuing the intricate and multi-layered story of the previous games, this is the first time you can freely explore the ever-changing world, play mini-games, solve puzzles and fight bosses.

You play Gregory, a child who is left behind in Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex when it closes. Also inside the building is Vanessa, the night guard, and a killer dressed as a bunny who is under the influence of a mind-controlling glitch. In addition to these human characters, there are also the staple animatronics; Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, Glamrock Chica and more are also affected by this glitch and will try and hunt you down. The only unaffected robot is Glamrock Freddy, who will try and get you to safety.

Play involves exploring the sprawling 80s-inspired Pizzaplex, complete with an indoor golf course, racetrack, laser tag and playable arcade machines. You sneak around, completing missions and solving puzzles. You can knock over items to cause a distraction to the animatronics, allowing you to make an escape, similar to Hello Neighbour. You can also go inside Freddy and use him as a mech suit; as the other animatronics can't detect you inside, you can use him to escape from tough spots. As you progress you unlock more areas, including the sewers and security offices.

It's a game that takes the Five Nights at Freddy's series in a new direction, while still featuring all the detailed and mysterious lore, multiple endings, storytelling, secrets and jump scares that the series is known for.

Age RatingsAge Ratings

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 12 for Horror and Violence. As with previous instalments in the 'Five Night’s at Freddy’s' series, there is a constant sense of threat throughout as the player seeks to complete tasks while avoiding sinister characters closing in on them. If these characters reach the player, there is a sudden 'jump scare' in which the character lurches towards the screen and the screen fades to black. The sense of threat is underpinned by eerie sound effects, such as laughter and footsteps coming towards the player, as well as by the darkness and dim lighting. There are also sequences featuring violence towards the animatronic characters, including cinematic scenes in which they are crushed, broken apart or otherwise destroyed.
