You play as either a huge Titan, awoken at last from a centuries-long sleep and ready to unleash destruction on the world, or as a mechanical Titan-hunting robot hoping to defend humanity. Inspired by huge Japanese monsters such as Godzilla, each playable characters has a unique design and varied set of moves, ranging from standard melee and ranged attacks to special combos and chained attacks. There also are lots of arenas you can play on (and destroy as you do so), raging from Area 51 to Tokyo.
Fights are fast-paced and you benefit from having skill and experience with your character, but the variety made available by the many different attacks and defensive manoeuvres mean that you always have a fighting chance to come out on top. Along with solo campaigns for your monsters, and all-against-all modes, you can also play in a variety of mini-games or team up for 2v2 fights, allowing younger, less-experienced players to team up with the experts.
It's a unique take on the brawling genre which draws inspiration from Japanese Kaiju monsters and media, and other fighting games like Smash Bros to create a novel and entertaining play experience.
