Lego Brawls (2019) is a fighting game in the vein of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but here you fight with Lego mini-figures. You play in either teams or all-against-all brawls as characters from a wide range of Lego themes. The simpler move-set and team structure make it more approachable for less experienced players but still offers plenty of opportunities for skill and creative attacks to win the day.
It's a game about fun and customisation. You create your brawler's appearance and can change their head, torso, legs, and weapons before the fight. There are multiple game modes to pick from, including the 4-versus-4 score rush team battles and all-against-all fights where the aim is to be the last person standing.
As you win more fights, you work your way up global leaderboards, unlock new maps to play on and extra customisation parts to make your brawler unique. Mini-figures you unlock are categorised by the theme they originate from and include characters from Ninjago, Jurassic Park, Alien Conquest and Pirates. As you customise your characters' weapons and abilities, their moves and attacks in battle also change.
The result is a brawling game ideal for younger players with a lower ability threshold. New and unique game modes like team matches add an extra layer of complexity that makes communication as vital as practice, skill, and ingenuity.
