PixelJunk Racers is racing game where the circuit is viewed from above. Like a slot car game (Anki Overdrive or Scalextrics) you race round the in one of the five separate lanes. This unusual approach makes the game about changing lanes and controlling the throttle/horn rather than detailed steering. The reduced controls and 8 player mode make it great for players with less expertise and experience.

You play through a wide variety of different modes. These are variations on the core racing style with three levels of difficulty (Normal, Turbo and Master) and 10 different tracks to race on. There's a single player tournament against the computer, a quick race and score attack mode.
