Rebots is an adventure game where you are sent to help aliens terraform a remote world. Play involves exploring the planet to find the best place to establish networks of supply and production with your robotic helpers. It stands out for its approachable child-like presentation that also doesn't skimp on the scale and complexity of what you can achieve.
You've signed up to work for Rebots Corp to escape the daily grind with a space adventure. You set off to categorise the flora and fauna you discover but soon find yourself befriending aliens with an exacting set of demands. In this way, you take on all manner of contracts and quests to build and develop complex production lines and automate tasks to optimise efficiency and maximise output.
As you progress you learn to use the different tools, robots, and gizmos to terraform rocks into flourishing lands. You link the robots to fulfil their supply and demand and build intricate webs of automation so they can gather and deposit resources. This opens up new biomes to explore and new resources to gather. Soon you're setting up production lines and getting the money rolling in.
The result is a space production challenge on the scale of Elite or No Man's Sky, but that's presented in a way that encourages players of all ages (and those less sci-fi-familiar) to get involved and in the chain of production.
