Play Overview
Skies of Chaos (2022) is a frantic shooting game about a pilot on a mission to shoot down enemy planes. It's not a hugely inventive story and doesn't need to be, this is all about the bright frenetic action. To play you quickly move your plane around to shoot down hordes of enemy aircraft at once, avoiding a barrage of lasers and bullets, and defeating giant boss enemies. It's like other classic Shoot-em-up games but ups the fun with a wealth of levels, upgrades, and variety to create a unique arcade-style challenge on a smartphone.
You're tasked with defending your people against an evil empire by defeating the squadrons of warplanes they send against your lands. From your plane, you shoot down enemy after enemy as you progress ever deeper into their territory, performing quick barrel rolls and dodges to avoid incoming fire.
By swiping and holding down on the screen, you move about and shoot down the planes ahead of you in each of the over fifty levels set in six distinct biomes, from icy tundra to sunny fields and villages. As you progress, you collect coins to unlock weapon upgrades, and new types of firepower. During the later stages, it becomes ever harder to stay on top of the multiple assailants and attacks on the screen; keeping your wits about you and coming up with ambitious strategies, fast reactions and good instincts is essential.
The result is a fast-paced and riotous mix of precise gameplay and deep strategy as you vie to remain in control of the ever-more deadly skies. It's a classic formula, but one not often found on smartphones.
