Play OverviewPlay Overview

Stray Shot (2024) is a retro shooting game where you control a tank battling enemies, the twist is that any shot you miss creates a new enemy. Play is viewed from above, you control your tank movement and shooting direction and work to avoid getting overrun by the aliens. It stands out for the clever enemy-making twist and playing with up to four friends.

Like other twin-stick shooting games, you move around the arena with one stick and use the other to shoot. Unlike other twin-stick shooting games, it's only as difficult as you make it. Get too reckless with your shooting and things get really tough as more and more enemies are created.

As you progress you learn to distinguish each monster's behaviours so you can be strategic in the way you fight them. The more monsters there are in the arena, the more points you get for each one defeated. Do well and you can unlock 8 different arenas each with unique monsters.

The result is a game all about risk and reward. Get the balance right and you can score good points. Get it wrong and you are soon overwhelmed.
