Play OverviewPlay Overview

The Solitaire Conspiracy (2020) takes the well-known Solitaire card game and integrates it into a neon-drenched cyberpunk spy story to create a fresh take.

For those that aren't familiar with Solitaire (Patience in the UK), it's a solo card game in which cards are dealt from a shuffled deck into a specific arrangement in front of you. From that point, you must attempt to reorder the deck by suit (called Crews here) and rank, by moving cards around inside the bounds of certain rules and restrictions.

In The Solitaire Conspiracy, you play as a top spy brought in to take down a supervillain. Your mission is to regain control of the spy network through the medium of Solitaire. The story is told through live-action cutscenes.

As you progress, you unlock new suits (Crews). Each Crew's face card (Jack, Queen, King) represents a new team of spies at your disposal, each with game-changing abilities. For example, the first Crew you play (Mantis) has the ability to "explode" a pile of cards to scatter them around, which may make accessing a hard-to-find card a little bit easier, but it has knock-on effects elsewhere.

Along with this Campaign, there are Countdown and Skirmish modes that offer custom games with four Crews on your side and against-the-clock challenges. These fundamentally change the way you approach the game, as speed trumps strategy and of course, there are online leaderboards to really up the ante.
