Play Overview
Chivalry (2021) 2 is an online sword fighting game that recreates epic medieval movie battles. It's the sequel to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and thrusts you first-hand into huge battles where you must survive clashing swords, storms of flaming arrows and sprawling castle sieges.
You control a warrior that can be customised right down to the gurgling battle cries and other expressions. You are equipped with medieval melee weapons from sledgehammers to long swords and battle axes. Other weapons can be discovered and used during each battle.
Encountering enemy players you have three attack patterns: horizontal slash, vertical slash, and a stab, which can be chained together. This, combined with the need to block, creates a flexible fighting system that requires considerable skill and good timing,
Although it's gorey and bloody, the action has an over-the-top tongue-in-cheek feel to it. While avoiding the silliness of Monty Python's Black Knight (that never loses) dismemberment is a part of the entertainment rather than the shock of the game.
Battles pit the Agatha Knights, who wear blue and white, and Mason Order, who wear red and black, against each other. This is either in a battle to the death of with objectives where one group must break into the opposite team's castle and eliminate their king.
