Play Overview
Perspective (2012) is a running and jumping game where you control a 2D character in a 3D world. Like the Flatland novel, your 2D character can only experience a slice of the 3D world, so you must move your 3D character around to find a perspective that grants access to the climbable surfaces to progress.
Perspective cleverly combines two aspects. It's a first-person puzzle where you must move around the world to find the view that offers a 2D route through. It's a third-person platform game where you must direct your character through the route revealed by your camera movement.
The result is a game that feels similar to spatial puzzle games like Crush or Fez, here you can move your perspective around freely and discover new ways to traverse the space in 2D.
Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Perspective a year ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 10 months ago.
