Play Overview
Similar to games like Skylanders or Pokemon, you tame and collect creatures as you go. Each one not only looks distinct but has different characteristics and abilities. They are brimming with personality and beautifully designed, but also have traits, and synergies that need to be carefully paired to unlock powerful combo attacks.
As you progress through your expeditions, you can upgrade and develop each of your creatures. This enhances their attacks and offers new ways to take on different enemies. You can also find runes and artefacts to equip that complement the qualities of your creature team.
The result is a game that's full of action but doesn't require the quick reactions of similar games (like Diablo). The combination of building this adorable menagerie of creatures to help you, and then setting out on rogue-like runs creates a game of real depth that's also approachable to younger players.
