The Starter Pack comes with enough track for a range of circuits and two cars. This can be expanded with more track, cars and even trucks to extend gameplay. There is a theme Fast and Furious pack that includes cars and characters from that film franchise.
Unlike Scalextric, Anki Overdrive cars are powered rather than the track. This means you can flex the track or use it outside without problems. The cars can be loaded with a computer opponent of varying difficulty. Each of these virtual drivers has a backstory and voiced personality as you race. This offers an excellent single-player challenge. As you progress you can upgrade your car with new virtual weapons or special moves.
You can play this game in the following styles:
9+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. Little kids need to know not to always go full speed on the corners and use the virtual attacks wisely to win.
- In-Game Purchases: Additional in-game purchases are offered for items that enhance the experience.
You can purchase cars and track at a substantial cost to expand the characters and possible layouts for racing.
It's important to set up your accounts and devices appropriately. More information is on our Financial Resources page.
