Child of Light (2014) is a platform game presented like a fairy tale, where you play a young girl, Aurora, on a quest to save her kingdom from the darkness. Battle encounters break up the adventure and power up your character. To finally make it home, you must defeat the dark creatures and win back the sun, the moon and the stars.

Skill Level

9+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. THe fairytale design and setting make this attractive to younger players. Provided they can learn the fighting mechanics and platforming accuracy there is a lot to enjoy here.
