Play OverviewPlay Overview

Dauntless (2019) is an action-fighting video game where you play a monster hunter in a fantasy world. Cataclysmic events have released Behemoth creatures that prey on the surviving humans. You play a monster hunter who hunts and kills large fantasy creatures, collect treasure and craft improved weapons and equipment.

Like Fortnite, the game is rising in popularity because of its well-balanced team-based online multiplayer. Although you can play Dauntless on your own you can also team up with three other players to subdue the monsters. Players can team up regardless of the system on which they are playing.

Unlike Fortnite or Apex Legends, this is a game played collaboratively with other players against a common foe - the huge Behemoth monsters. This gives it more of a sense of adventure and teamwork.

For the hunting, you equip weapons and armour and pull off combo attacks to damage the creatures, while monitoring their own health and stamina gauge. The hunts can take up to twenty minutes to complete.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Dauntless 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Ellen Robertson and updated 5 months ago.
