Risk of Rain 2 (2019) is a multiplayer adventure game where you have to fight to survive and escape a planet you've crash-landed on. It's formatted like a 'Roguelike' game: an iterative game that requires multiple goes to complete a level and where your progress is reset if you die. Risk of Rain keeps you on your toes, thanks to randomised stages, enemies, bosses, and items. The game also possesses a surprisingly in-depth lore that you can choose to explore by looking at objects on this strange planet.
This is the second game in the Risk of Rain series, and has expanded beyond the original; now you can play in a 3D open world rather than on a 2D platform, which it manages to execute whilst still keeping its sci-fi and fantasy charm. Risk of Rain 2 boasts a large variety of loot that you can earn on runs by killing aliens and collecting the currency once they drop dead.
