Play Overview
Play involves selecting which character (Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, or Druid) you want and then directing your trajectory to hit enemies and collect loot. It's aiming-and-shooting like Bust-A-Move and Peggle, but you develop your abilities as you bounce around. You can also perform a second jump/bounce when you want to direct yourself where you want a little. Each time you get hit or fall onto the spikes you lose health until you have none left and your run is over.
Each time you play the challenge is slightly different. Understanding how to take on different enemies enables you to hone your character's abilities and weapons to suit each challenge. There is a degree of randomness from the Pachinko-style play, but to this, you need to add planning and skill if you are going to succeed.
It's a quirky, tongue-in-cheek experience that doesn't take itself too seriously. The combination of Peggle and Diablo-style dungeon progression works surprisingly well. It also makes the repeated run roguelike genre more approachable.
