Play OverviewPlay Overview

Street Fighter 6 (2023), the latest Street Fighter game, is a fighting game where you beat opponents with punches and powers. Alongside player-versus-player fights, this edition offers a surprisingly in-depth open-world story where you hone your skills against computer-controlled characters. It stands out for this narrative fighting adventure and how it evolves the series' traditional gameplay with new attacks and techniques with a range of simpler controls and accommodations for newcomers.

Play is split into several different game modes: World Tour, where you explore a vast open world, complete missions, and nurture your skills; Battle Hub, where you fight other players in online fights, and Fighting Ground, where you battle against computer-controlled characters and local players in arcade-style matches.

In World Tour, you create your character, then explore the world, going from country to country and disciple yourself to 18 martial arts champions to learn their craft and hone your abilities. You interact with characters you meet, completing missions and unlocking new items and abilities to use in battle. It's a good place for players new to the fighting genre to get to grips with the controls and attacks as they're introduced.

Fights are similar throughout; you use punches, kicks, and other moves to deal damage to your opponent while blocking incoming attacks. As you perform actions, you fill up your Drive Gague, which allows you to unleash high-power moves against your foe. If you run out of Drive entirely, you become much more vulnerable, until it fully recharges, allowing for more strategy as you experiment with the best times to attack and balance using these more powerful abilities with conserving your Drive.

The result is a game that requires quick reactions, deep fighter knowledge and nuanced tactics in highly competitive fights. It also offers newer and less experienced players a way to improve through the open-world narrative adventure.

Age RatingsAge Ratings

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 12 for Violence and Bad Language. This game contains frequent depictions of non-realistic-looking violence towards human-like characters. Bright lights and magical effects appear when characters are hit, with a health bar gradually depleting. When a character’s health bar fully depletes, they fall to the floor and the round ends. Some mild bruises and scratches can be seen building up on the characters' bodies as fights progress, although the reactions to the violence are highly exaggerated.
Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.

Skill Level

12+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. You need to have very quick reactions and good judgement of wheat moves to use and when in order to defeat opponents. When playing against AI opponents in one of the game modes, you can use a control scheme that only requires you to use one button to attack, with the game choosing the best moves, reducing the need for strategy and high skill.
