Play OverviewPlay Overview

The Forest Quartet (2022) is a puzzle adventure about the band's lead singer who passed away in an ancient forest. You play her spirit travelling through the forest to create three final acts unique to the members of her band for a final concert. It's an unusual set-up and plays out with reactive music and sultry visuals backing occasional conversational dialogue.

The forest has become an abyss of darkness. Something strange has taken over the once green and lush nature that Kirk would draw his inspiration from. The fungus slowly creeps and turns growth into decay. Equally the things in the forest respond to your touch with sound, and invite you to work with them to solve environmental puzzles.

As you work to find the light that spark and reignite the bands musical spark, you sing to interact with the objects you find. As you do you create light with your fingertips, glide, float, and transform into butterflies to move deeper into the band's psyche.

There are no written descriptions or instructions, but you are led to progressively gain powers for your travels. Along with the musical backing, touching objects and the spaces you stand in add unique layers to the soundtrack. Whether it be crackling forest fires or the cold winds from the deep caverns.

The result is a touching game that invites you to live through heartbreak and loss. Recover from grief and restore the band’s musical spark. It's a family made project with an original jazz score. Unusual from start to finish, you face the band's emotions, solve puzzles and fight the corruption plaguing their souls.
