Play Overview
Kind Words 2 is an online communication game that expands upon the original Kind Words game where you wrote and received letters from an online community. Play is simply moving around social spaces and conversing with other players through letters to encourage, advise, laugh and learn. Similar to its predecessor it stands out for being a safe space to share your feelings and nurture friendships, but adds more locations and ways to interact than the first game.
The game is played across several areas, each with different ways to interact with others and write letters. For example, you can read from and write to people you meet in the park, participate in poetry slams at the cafe or make a wish on top of the mountain. The game is well-moderated and reports are taken seriously to encourage safety and create a platform where players can receive and provide positive support and kindness.
Just like in real life, conversations through letters can last for weeks or even longer. While you wait for responses you can customise your avatar’s hair, clothes, accessories and more or take a moment to yourself and write a private diary.
The result is a sequel that builds upon the success of the first game’s wholesome and heartfelt approach to online social interaction. As it runs on the same server as Kind Words, people can keep their old letters and also communicate with players from the previous game.
