Lairchitect is a strategy game where you build defences in your dungeon to prevent heroes from taking your Soul Stones. It's a twist on dungeon role playing games, where instead of playing the hero you are the owner of the dungeon (like the classic Dungeon Keeper game) and control the monsters and traps within.

Lairchitect is a unique take on a tower defence strategy game. As the villain, you must prevent adventurers from taking your life force which is stored in special gems. You have various monsters at your disposal which vary depending on the terrain you click on. Your aim is to block the hero's path with skeletons, carnivorous plants and rats.

You can build passages to lead the heroes away from your precious Soul Stones to treasure chests and traps. You can also mine for resources and build up your arsenal. Some of your minions will attack not just the hero but your other monsters, so be careful where you place things.

The result is an unusual strategy game with a retro aesthetic, similar to games from the 1980's. There's a surprising amount of depth and planning required, to stop the heroes succeeding. A great fit for anyone with an interest in strategy and fantasy role playing but with limited time to play.
