Play Overview
To A T is a lighthearted narrative adventure game about a teenager with a unique posture that makes parts of their life in a small coastal town challenging. With your arms permanently stretched out, you explore the beautiful town with your dog and mother, collect coins, visit shops and hunt for other people to talk to. It's from the developer of Katamari Damacay, and has the same peculiar feel as that game, although here there's more narrative and characters to meet.
You play as a teenager and, along with negotiating a world not designed for people not able to bend their arms, take on school bullies. Play involves moving around the world, interacting with the people you meet and slowly discovering new abilities related to their unusual posture. You manoeuvre your inflexible arms to reach for the things you need, open your mouth to take a bite of food or a drink of water and even pet the dogs you meet.
As you progress, the story unfolds through a series of days and you gain access to more of the world and meet more people. This steadily lets you uncover more about your story and your mysterious lineage.
The result is a story about the barriers we can face in life, the challenge of fitting in and discovering our sense of self. Running through the experience is the theme of disability and barriers in life, which has been developed in collaboration with Able Gamers. It's an unusual idea, deftly and creatively delivered in a game that looks like a children's TV show.
