Play Overview
Absolver (2017) is a martial arts fighting game, where you play as a travelling warrior. You explore the world and take on staged battles that require a high level of mastery of the combat system.
As you win and progress you can upgrade and customise your character's abilities by selecting cards that relate to strikes, parries and feints. This means you can hone your own combat style to gain the upper hand against players and computer-controlled characters. To this you can add armour, weapons and equipment that is unlocked by defeating enemies.
You encounter other players in the world. How you respond to these interactions steers the game towards playing against other humans or taking on computer-controlled enemies. Moments of tension, leaps of faith, and fragile truces will punctuate your journey through the game. The game is good at including single, cooperative and competitive play to accommodate the needs of its players.
