Play OverviewPlay Overview

Dirt Rally (1998) is a series of racing games, originally called Colin McRae Rally. They simulate the experience of dangerous and perilous rally stages. You drive from an in-car experience and are given spoken directions from your co-pilot. It's thrilling but keeps the experience focused on realism.

For those wanting a more fantastically and exuberant experience, there is a spin off Dirt series that offers a more extreme race challenge that includes local split-screen play.

Our examiner, Jo Robertson, first checked Dirt Rally 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Andy Robertson and updated 4 weeks ago.
