Relic Hunters Zero: Remix is a shooting game where you play the crew of the Spaceheart as they run, gun, and dodge their way through waves of colourful aliens to recover ancient relics from the evil Ducans. It stands out because of the frantic shooting and looting action.

You play one of the Relic Hunters and explore each area to kill enemies and find treasure and equipment. You choose from a range of characters that you control with two-sticks - one for movement and one for shooting.

Each of the seven characters has different stats, skills, and outfits. You can also customise your experience with lots of different play modes. The Adventure mode takes you through 12 levels to find relics and items. The Endless mode focuses on grinding through collecting currency. Storm mode steadily increases the difficulty and chaos.

It's a game that has been around for a long time. Many of the enhancements and developments come from community feedback. To that end you can take on daily content to test your combat rank against others online. There's also a couch co-op for 2 players.

There are different versions of the game available:
  • Relic Hunters Zero (2015) PC
  • Relic Hunters Zero Remix (2020) Switch 2 Players
  • Relic Hunters Rebels (TBA) iOS, Android 4 Players
  • Relic Hunters Legend (TBA) PC 4 Players.

The result is a frantic game that's fun to replay. It's short and sweet. But a game that you need to play for a long time to become really skilled at, particularly if you are going to master the wide range of guns.
