Play Overview
Luckitown (2022) is a turn-based strategy game. You build a town around your castle to defend it from incoming enemies. You then roll dice and select combinations of results that allow you to buy and place defensive buildings while every turn the enemies move closer. It's a unique combination of tower defence, city building and Yahtzee to make a game of both strategy and luck.
The dice in the game have icons on them representing wood, swords, plants, power etc. Different combination of dice rolls will allow you to buy different buildings for your town. Wood and heart, for example, makes a house, while three leaves will buy you a field. Each roll of the dice indicates a turn and the enemies advance on your castle with each turn. You can save dice and roll again to try to build up the correct combination you want to use, but this comes at the price of advancing enemies.
Luckitown uses simple graphics similar to Spectrum and Commodore 64 games from the 1980's, but offers gameplay with surprising depth.
