Figment is a narrative adventure game set inside a traumatised mind. You explore a whimsical, musical world, complete puzzles, and defeat monsters to uncover a story of optimism and overcoming fear. The unusual, hand-painted art style, a musical score that adapts to the environment, varied challenges, and a heartfelt story make it a surreal yet engaging game.

After being in a car crash with your daughter you end up in a coma, and your mind starts to fracture with fear trying to take hold and overpower other emotions. You explore this fractured and unbalanced mind as Dusty, an initially reluctant hero who sets out on a quest to restore courage and overcome the fear of loss.

You investigate the surreal, abstract, and musical world, moving through trombone tree forests, teapot-house villages, and floating islands covered in cogs and gears. Play revolves around completing environmental puzzles like pushing blocks or using windmills to clear the fog, which allows you to progress to the next area. Along the way, you also encounter monsters you defeat in fast-paced combat using close-combat attacks. The music adapts to your surroundings, incorporating nearby instruments and becoming tenser in fights.

The result is a unique mix of puzzles, fights, exploration, and storytelling that invites you into a world brimming with colourful characters, otherworldly environments, and imaginative melodies. The impactful story is similar to Pixar's Inside Out and highlights the importance of bravery and courage.
