Play OverviewPlay Overview

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm (2019) (called simply Oceanhorn 2 on Apple Arcade) is an adventure game that recreates the 3D Zelda experience on non-Nintendo platforms. You explore a vibrant world, interacting with characters and creatures as you solve puzzles and battle enemies. It combines these familiar concepts with role-play elements as you hone your abilities and recruit companions to adventure with.

Set a millennium before the events of the first game, you play a silent protagonist who's training to become a knight. When robotic invaders threaten your village, led by the evil Mesmeroth, you set out on a mission to stop him once and for all by collecting three ancient artefacts.

Play involves exploring the world on foot and by boat and defeating enemies with your weapons such as a sword or gun. As you do, you gain experience that improves your proficiency and power with the weapons you have. You also interact with the characters you meet, and can even recruit some to help you in combat and solve dungeon-style puzzles, such as pressing buttons, guiding beams of light, or flicking levers. The golden edition adds new dungeons, enhanced visuals and a new Criminal Hunt quest. It also adds an expanded ending connecting back to the first game. This is free (and only available) with Apple Arcade.

The result is a game that combines the classic 3D Zelda style of adventure, heroism, and combat with a lush world and role-play elements that let you grow in strength and build a team, making for a unique experience.
