8+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. It's also important to ensure children understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. More traditional gaming skills are required in Jailbreak compared to simpler Roblox games. Escape from prison, fool the guards, save up money for cars and gear. But of course, start playing this together with a child as an important way to keep online aspects of the game safe.

This game is free to play, but there are other costs associated with this game:

• In-Game Loot Boxes: Additional in-game purchases are offered for items that enhance the experience. These include in-game purchases of random items (known as 'loot boxes') that offer a chance of getting rare/higher-value items although common/lower-value items are more frequent.
• You need a subscription to play online:
  • You need to purchase a Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online with Xbox One.

 
Many families choose to pay for an In-Game Subscription that grants access to features and Robux currency for use in any Roblox games without the risk of individual transactions. Outside the game, you can make larger purchases.

This subscription grants 450 Robux a month as well as discounts on buying more Robux and access to selling and trading items with other subscribed Roblox players. The games generally encourage the spending of Robux to progress as a proportion of the money spent goes to the person who creates the game.
 
You can purchase vehicles, weapons and skins in the game with Cash. Cash is earned in the game by performing a variety of actions, depending on whether you are Police or Prisoners. You can purchase Cash with Robux.

To purchase one of the most expensive vehicles in the game, the Black Hawk Helicopter costs 1,000,000 in Jailbreak cash. Although you could spend a long time earning this cash, to buy this much cash costs 12,000 Robux which would cost about £110 of real money to purchase.

You can also purchase passes that give special items and access:

• SWAT or BOSS (300 Robux) provides some protective equipment and guns.
• VIP (1000 Robux) gain 20% more cash for achievements, cosmetic enhancements and $1,000 income every 24 hours
• Car Stereo (250 Robux) play any audio on car stereo and save playlists.
• Bigger Duffel Bag (300 Robux) can carry more loot from robberies.
• Mobile Garage (450 Robux) customise vehicles anywhere.
• Rocket Fuel (99 Robux) 250 worth of fuel to make vehicles faster and fly off ramps.

Safes: Safes work like “loot boxes” in the game. You can purchase Safes with the in-game currency. When you open these you get a chance of getting a random skin for vehicles.
